Dr. Gerardo Ortiz is a dedicated physician with a strong background in emergency medicine and healthcare leadership. He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and went on to complete medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed his residency training at Denver Health Medical Center, where he developed extensive experience in high-acuity patient care.
Dr. Ortiz later served as President of a large physician group in Pueblo, Colorado, supporting a Level II Trauma Center and leading efforts to deliver high-quality emergency medical services. Since 2017, he has been the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of Lone Star 24-hour Emergency Room, where he continues to focus on clinical excellence and operational leadership.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ortiz is a devoted husband and father of three. He enjoys hunting, golfing, and traveling with his family.
